Biodiversity Monitoring in Switzerland welcomes observations from the population regarding the finding of rare species (indicators Z3 and Z4). Information from people interested in nature or amateur botanists and zoologists can contribute to completing the picture of species diversity.

The animal and plant species for which we still need evidence in various areas are listed in the following table.

Have you see one of the species we are looking for (alive or dead)? Then send us your observation using the simple report form that appears below. Important: please report only on species that were actually found in the desired region. (In other words, don’t tell us you found marmots in the Alps...)

Our specialists will then contact you in order to follow up on your tip.
